Leadership:

  • Schedule, supervise and coach 80 employees and 15 production lines facilitating essential training of associates with Canada's leading consumer protein company.
  • Direct reports include 3 lead hands & 2 HACCP personnel.
  • Co-ordinate daily production in a multi-line, fast-paced food production facility through the direction of a unionized hourly workforce.

  • Designing, implementing & monitoring SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the workstations.

  • Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Found root causes and solutions to eliminate bottlenecks, raise product quality, and reduce waste.

  • Performed lean manufacturing activities such as huddle meetings, 5-whys and root-cause exercises.

  • Actively managing Quality Processes like pre-shipment audits, investigation of quality deviations.

  • Actively participated in the 2019 BRC audit

Collaboration:

  • Focused on quality improvement and process waste elimination initiatives through cross-functional team leadership.
  • Managing manpower planning like - manpower requisition, targeted interviewing, onboarding & performance reviews.
  • Coordinated production schedule with materials and packaging departments based on the orders and gave recommendation accordingly to maintain constant production flow.
  • Inspected machinery, coordinated repairs, and completed annual OSHA training with Safety manager.
